"You Gotta Get Up" by Real Talk Kim

This book has been a huge confident booster for me spiritually and personally. I stumbled across it at Target when my friend had gifted me money to treat myself. It took me another month of the book sitting on my ottoman for me to finally pick it up and read it. Then, I couldn’t put it down. It is written by a pastor and motivational speaker. She shares so much about faith, life, and how to keep moving forward. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in a pick-me up or someone in need of encouragement.

You Gotta Get Up

"Leadership and Self-Deception" by The Arbinger Institute

This book put a lot of things into perspective for me. The premise is to get yourself out of the box. I read it after my last mission trip to Puerto Rico because a friend recommended it to me. If you are looking for a new way of seeing the world, if you are a leader in any capacity, this book will give you new things to consider and think about. I highly recommend this book.

Leadership and Self Deception

"The Upper Room" Daily Devotional Guide

This devo offers a short bible verse, a small story, thought of the day, and a prayer with a prayer focus. I have personally used this devo on and off throughout the past several years. Lately, I have been hearing God speak through the pages so strongly. In fact, a small group of us at my current church now meet biweekly virtually to discuss the things that spoke to us throughout our readings. I highly recommend this devotional to anyone who wants to get back into God’s word but doesn’t like lengthy readings / prefer something quick but impactful.
